Bondalti Water takes innovation to IFAT

Bondalti Water will be taking part in IFAT, the world's largest trade fair dedicated to water treatment, sanitation, waste and raw materials management, to be held in Munich, Germany, between 13 and 17 May, where it will be showcasing its latest solutions for the Integrated Water Cycle and a distinctive range of technologies, equipment and services.

Bondalti Water focuses its activity on wastewater, process water, drinking water, utilities, reuse, and desalination, as well as developing energy recovery systems to obtain biogas. At its stand at IFAT you will be able to see some examples of its extensive catalog of innovation and technological solutions for these areas, including an ultrafiltration system, a chlorine dioxide generator and equipment for purifying wastewater using membrane bioreactor (MBR) technology.

For Bondalti Water's chairman, Luís Rebelo da Silva, "this edition of IFAT will surely be further proof of the vitality of this sector and its relevance in facing the enormous challenges currently facing the management of natural resources, and especially water. The efficiency of water treatment and reuse systems is increasingly critical to the sustainability and competitiveness of operations in a wide range of sectors. That's why we work every day to put innovation at the service of sustainable development."

With a large international presence, Bondalti Water develops tailor-made solutions using the best available technologies and, thanks to its specialisation and a team of over 300 professionals, is able to get involved in major projects for a wide variety of sectors.

For the company, this will be another opportunity to strengthen relationships with current clients and share experiences with a truly global community dedicated to this industry. The last edition of IFAT had around 3,000 exhibitors and welcomed more than 119,000 visitors.

Bondalti Water will be at Stand 228 in Pavilion A2.

Equipment on display

Chlorine dioxide generator - CLOS

The chlorine dioxide generator is available in three different models adaptable to the specifications of the sodium chlorite/hydrochloric acid process.
This equipment acts on the excess acid, generating a reaction by dosing chemical products, diluted in a 1:1 ratio. The system allows a concentration of 20 g/l of chlorine dioxide, which is immediately diluted by the water cycle.
It is a compact unit with all the parts fully installed and tested to facilitate assembly and commissioning.

Ultrafiltration System - ULfine

Ultrafiltration is a purification process in which water is filtered through a membrane, retaining suspended solids and high molecular weight solutes present in the water.
It is mainly used as pre-treatment for membrane desalination technologies (nanofiltration or reverse osmosis), rainwater and groundwater recovery, tertiary treatment and industrial purification or recovery processes.

Membrane Bioreactor (MBR)

The MBR process is a membrane technology that replaces the decanter in the conventional activated sludge process of a sewage treatment plant. In this way, the separation of the solid-liquid phase is carried out by filtration through the membranes instead of sedimentation in the settling tank, resulting in a treated effluent that generally fulfils the requirements for reuse.
